• Generate new and repeat sales
• Determine customer requirements and expectations
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
• Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
• Obtain accurate information from vendors, relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
• Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
• Fill requests for catalogues and information
• Setup and maintain customers files
• Use personal computer, data entry terminal and other common equipment and software proficiently
• Work ethics
• Understand and implement mechanical and electrical principles of control loops
• Teamwork with inside and outside sales, engineering, service and customers
• Additional projects and responsibilities assigned by management as necessary
