Plan and prepare each operation of the production
Review blueprints or written specifications for a job
Calculate where to cut or bore into the work piece
Select tools and materials for the job
Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations
Set the controls, and make the cuts
Monitor the feed rate and speed of the machine
Ensure that the work piece is being properly lubricated and cooled
Use both simple and highly sophisticated measuring tools to check accuracies
Work with CNC control programmers on CNC programs
Maintain a safe working environment _ OHSA education
Perform maintenance work„repairing making adjustments to existing machinery
