Inspects and reports on machines, equipment, tanks and containers for hazards, operating efficiency, malfunctions, wear or leaks
Equipment Operations
Setups or adjusts equipment for processing, fermenting, or packaging wines
Setups or adjusts machine controls to regulate conditions (material flow, temperature, or pressure)
Starts pumps or other cellar equipment, then adjusts valves or controls to admit, drain, separate, mix, and transfer materials
Demonstrates an understanding of processes involved in filtration and clarification
Sanitation Principles
Cleans or sterilizes tanks, barrels, and other cellar operations equipment, production areas, using hoses, brushes, scrapers, chemical solutions, or other means as directed
Cellar Operations and Processes
Executes work orders and alerts supervisors to production issues
Measures or weighs materials to be added, mixed, transferred, stored, or processed Collects samples for laboratory analysis to verify qualities (clarity, consistency, sweetness, texture, and aroma)
